Recruitment team out and about

Alice, Head of Talent Acquisition and Lucy,

take part in a recruitment event at The

The
event was well attended by lots of people
who were interested in knowing all about
our company and how we support people
living in the community with complex care
needs.
We love attending local events and
speaking with people about what we do
and how personal centred care is at the
heart of how we care for people, including
with our amazing recruitment team.

Flu Jabs
It is that time of year so you may have already heard about the Flu Jab, it is recommended by the NHS that if you are:
- are aged 65 or over
- have certain long-term health conditions are pregnant
- live in a care home
- are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance live with someone who has a weakened immune system
- Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.
It’s offered on the NHS every year in autumn or early winter.
Should you need anymore information, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we can send more information for you.
Thank you!
Huge thanks to someone we support and his team who made these amazing cupcakes for the Macmillan coffee morning. They were very tasty!!!

Committee Meeting
If you would like to have an opportunity to be at the next committee meeting which is being held on the 17th October at 12pm, please contact us to confirm your attendance.

COVID jabs
You can now book flu and COVID-19 vaccinations from Monday, 23 September as the NHS rolls out additional protection for those most at risk ahead of winter. Anyone eligible can book their vaccinations from 9am via the NHS website, by downloading the NHS App, or by calling 119 for free if they can’t get online. The vaccinations, which will be available from 3 October, provide vital protection to keep people from developing serious illnesses and ending up in hospital during busy winter months. This year, based on the latest scientific evidence, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) recommended adults aged 65 and over, residents in older adult care homes and those with underlying health conditions aged 6 months to 64 years will be eligible for flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. The Government has also decided that, as in previous years, the COVID-19 and flu vaccines will be offered to frontline health and social care staff, with staff in older adult care homes being offered the COVID-19 jab. Eligible people will begin receiving invitations from the NHS to get their jabs, while GP practices and other local NHS services will also be contacting people to offer both vaccines. The flu vaccine can also be booked by searching online for a local pharmacy. Flu season usually peaks in December and January, so starting adult vaccinations from October will ensure those most at risk are protected during the colder months when people gather indoors and viruses spread.
Staff Shout Outs!

Glenn always goes above and beyond for every single service user and staff member in the company. He works tirelessly to ensure all shifts are covered, that everyone has what they need, be it gloves, support or a question about something and will gladly cover shifts or support wherever and whenever he is needed. He is always the first to offer his help no matter what the situation and he is a credit to Josh’s care

Rachel B has been absolutely amazing in helping me and showing me what to do. Feel very fortunate to work with this invidual!

Jonathan has gone above and beyond to provide support and care to service users, dedicating his own time and equipment to look after their gardens

You can always rely on Stacey to answer any questions needed and she is also a big support for those who are working towards getting signed off and will make you understand everything in depth

Lindsay goes above and beyond for me. I couldn’t ask for a better nurse and she listens to my problems and tries to get stuff sorted if not sorted.

Fern and Charlotte have been real gems! They have both been amazing at showing me what they know. Both lovely, friendly and caring people. It has been Fern though as when I was struggling with names of everything, she would give me tests by asking me to go and get them knowing I haven’t done care before and not sure on what is what, if it was wrong she wouldn’t make me feel like I had done something wrong, she would give me a clue as to what it was. She’s been a star in helping teach me what she knows.

Pleasure to welcome to our team, Jodi has been a pleasure to teach and is an asset to our team. Always smiling and gets on well with everyone! Eager to learn and performs to a high standard with everything she does. Well done Jodi!

Lindsay is a very experienced and supportive member of the office who is an asset to so many staff and people we support at Josh’s care. Is very kind, knowledgeable, approachable and supportive

To be honest if I could select all of the values I would. Lindsay is always there if I ever have any questions and she supports everybody who works at Joshs Care. She goes above and beyond for staff and service users. I can always rely on Lindsay to help me if I need it. She is always approachable and friendly. She supports me in work and also with my university studies. She is the best nurse I’ve ever met and I’m glad to call her a friend as well as a work colleague.

The way Ollie interacts with PS and developing communication techniques, teach Makaton to PS and further enhancing the way he can communicate with his staff, she has also taught him how to identify colours, and also watching how PS reacts to Ollie is really nice to see.

Ollie is a lovely young lady. We all adore her. She is fantastic with my son she’s teaching him Makaton so the communication is brilliant. She always coming up with new ideas for him to teach. So all I can do is say thank you 💕

Amy’s work is always on the high standard. She always brightens everyone’s day up with her sense of humour and always kind, caring and compassionate towards others and service users. Amy will make an amazing nurse and she has a bright future. Keep up the great work!

Stacey is always there when needed, she has only been in a team leader position for a short while but has shown all of the staff on her package they can rely on her when needed
